Jeff brings his background in cloud computing, security, managed services, disaster recovery, and IT to solve the toughest technology challenges for a broad range of Fortune 2000 companies.
Since founding RKON in 1998, Jeff has ensured the delivery of managed cloud solutions that empower enterprises with complete access, control, security, and scalability. Today, Jeff continues to work with clients to achieve best-in-class, technology-enabled solutions to solve IT challenges, from Hosted Virtual Desktops, to Managed Security, and Managed Virtualization.
Marc is responsible for the company’s overall technical vision and strategy. Since co-founding the company in 1998, he has played a key role in creating many of RKON Technologies’ products and professional service offerings, as well as building the company’s internal computing platform, which serves as the basis for our cloud and managed services portfolio.
Prior to forming RKON, Marc was director of engineering at LAN Systems, where he was also responsible for launching a professional services practice at WorkGroup Productivity. He holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science and mathematics from the University of Illinois and a master’s degree in telecommunications from DePaul University.
MEET THE TEAM
David Wright is a member of RKON's private equity team, bringing with him deep and proven experience consolidating technology platforms through the adoption of cloud, modern application development, and Agile. He has held senior leadership roles at Fortune 500 organizations focused on large-scale transformation, financial management, change leadership, collaboration, service delivery frameworks, process management effectiveness, and operational excellence.
David has over 20 years of experience in IT infrastructure and application architecture, implementation, operations, and program management across a variety of industries, including Utilities, Service Provider, and Telecommunications. David is also a proud veteran of the British Armed Forces.
Jeff Laurinaitis heads the private equity team for RKON. With years of experience working with the private equity sector, Jeff's expertise encompasses carve-outs, M&A activities, value creation, and IT turnarounds.
Jeff has worked at RKON for over 11 years and has helped build the company's Services Portfolio. Prior to joining RKON, Jeff was a Business Development Manager with Arcadia Solutions and an Account Executive with Fujitsu Consulting. In addition to his work experience, Jeff holds 2 BA degrees from the University of Illinois at Champaign.
Managing Director, Private Equity Advisory Services
Bill Gardner serves as RKON’s Managing Director of Advisory & Private Equity Services. Joining the RKON team in 2020, he focuses on IT Strategic Planning and Execution, Application Management Services, and Carve-Outs/Transition Service Agreements (TSA).
As a technology-centered leader with an extensive knowledgebase, Bill holds a variety of competencies in organizational transformation through technology. Through his experience, Bill has focused on software and product development, including data warehouse and business intelligence solutions.
Before joining RKON, Bill served as the CIO of The Results Companies, a global BPO organization. In this role, Bill worked to define and implement the company’s vision and strategy through technology-driven growth, striving to improve productivity and efficiency in all client engagements. Bill has also held leading roles at Barclays, Merrill Lynch, AllianceBernstein, Nomura, and Fidelity Investments.
Bill holds a bachelor’s degree from Brown University in Engineering and Business Economics.
Chris Hueneke began his career in the security industry in 1995. His professional experience includes advising and implementing global IT governance, risk, compliance and security control frameworks and solutions. He has diverse IT risk and security experience protecting international organizations throughout the world for industries such as private equity, financial services, retail, manufacturing, and airlines.
Chris’ extensive global leadership experience includes building IT risk and security teams from the ground up and consulting on improvements in endpoint, perimeter, datacenter, and cloud security architectures. He is a visionary leader able to communicate technology strategy, architecture, and critical risks effectively to key stakeholders, executive leadership, and boards of directors.
Prior to joining RKON, Adriana served as a product manager and provided regulatory oversight for private equity, complex hedge, common, and collective trust funds. Before NTAM, Adriana was a Vice President at Northern Trust Hedge Fund Services, where she was instrumental in developing and growing the FATCA and CRS product offerings for hedge and private equity clients.
Adriana’s experience in accounting and finance also includes, but is not limited to, leading and sourcing solutions for regulatory due diligence (AML, KYC, FATCA, CRS, Dodd-Frank, RIA, etc.) efforts, supporting investment teams in various phases of deal life cycles, limited partner capital activity coordination and reporting, trading floor operations, and accounting for investments. Adriana is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Master of Accounting and Financial Management.
Practice Group Leader, Private Equity Advisory Services
Alan Sulima serves as the Practice Group Leader, Private Equity Advisory services for RKON, leading advisory services as it relates to buy-side, sell-side and performance improvement diligence. Alan offers over 25 years of experience directing corporate IT transformation, managing dynamic IT teams, and driving operations management.
With experience from fortune 500 companies like Walgreens, United Airlines and W.W. Grainger, Alan holds knowledge form a wealth of industries and technologies. This knowledgebase provides Alan the ability to evaluate, develop and implement strategic large-scale projects that generate value and growth, supporting the overall needs of the business.
Director of Human Resources
Sarah earned her BA from Eastern Illinois University in 2003 and carved a career within the IT industry over the last 15 years. Sarah joined the RKON team 10 years ago and has held positions in the Sales Operations, Purchasing, Accounting, and Office Administration departments.
As the Director of HR, Sarah is passionate about fostering a positive company culture and is working to build bridges with several non-profit organizations, as well as local colleges and universities.
Managing Director, Private Equity Advisory Services
Our Managing of Director of Transaction Services, Bruce Bothwell, has over 31 years of experience in IT strategic planning, ERP implementation, business process transformation, IT governance & compliance, data analytics, cyber security, risk management and systems integration, amongst further competencies. In his Managing Director role, Bruce oversees internal teams in all stages of project and engagement management for multiple private equity clients, spanning across several industries.
Through his years of experience, Bruce has held Managing Director roles at organizations such as PwC, IBM, BearingPoint and RealFoundations, serving technology, consumer product, manufacturing and financial service industries. These experiences have given him the ability to identify systemic issues impacting performance and transform them into tangible, value-creating solutions. Bruce is dedicated to helping clients re-envision their conceptual strategies while providing a concise understanding and direction of their technological environment.
Bruce holds an Advanced Studies in Data Science degree from UCLA, a Master in Business Administration from Cornell University and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Pomona College. Bruce also holds a Certificate in Data Processing from the Computer Processing Institute.
Managing Director, Private Equity Advisory Services
David Asher serves as the Managing Director of Private Equity Services for RKON. Through his more than 20 years of global business and technology development, he has worked within and established an extensive understanding of the manufacturing, retail/distribution, metals/mining, healthcare, technology, and financial services industries. As RKON’s Managing Director of PE Services, David provides pre- and post-investment IT services for private equity clients and their portfolio companies.
Before joining the RKON team, David worked as the Practice Director at ACA Aponix. During this time, the firm received the 2019 Due Diligence Firm of the Year award by the M&A Advisor, which highlighted the firm’s ability to deliver impactful and actionable M&A technology and risk management services. David has also held senior directorship roles at Alvarez & Marsal, Behre Dolbear Capital, Inc., and Coeur Mining.
David holds a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems and Finance from Gonzaga University, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Washington. David is a member of the Alliance of Mergers & Acquisitions, M&A Leadership Council, and Corporate Finance Institute (CFI). He is also a Certified M&A Advisor (CM&AA), Project Management Professional (PMP), and Financial Modeling & Valuation Analyst (FMVA).
