Under Jeff’s executive leadership, RKON has grown to become one of the nation’s premier IT Transformation service providers. Jeff brings his background in cloud computing, security, managed services, disaster recovery, and IT to solve the toughest technology challenges for a broad range of Fortune 2000 companies. Since founding RKON in 1998, Jeff has ensured the delivery of managed cloud solutions that empower enterprises with complete access, control, security, and scalability. Today, Jeff continues to work with clients to achieve best-in-class, technology-enabled solutions to solve IT challenges, from Hosted Virtual Desktops, to Managed Security, and Managed Virtualization.
Marc is responsible for the company’s overall technical vision and strategy. Since co-founding the company in 1998, he has played a key role in creating many of RKON Technologies’ products and professional service offerings, as well as building the company’s internal computing platform, which serves as the basis for our cloud and managed services portfolio. Prior to forming RKON, Marc was director of engineering at LAN Systems, where he was also responsible for launching a professional services practice at WorkGroup Productivity. He holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science and mathematics from the University of Illinois and a master’s degree in telecommunications from DePaul University.
MEET THE TEAM
Managing Director, Transaction Services
George has over 23 years of experience in IT strategy and Operations for start-ups, the private sector, public sector, and Fortune 100. As the Managing Director, George is responsible for overseeing internal teams in all phases of project and engagement management for multiple private equity clients. His award-winning “Quiet IT” model largely benefits mid-market Private Equity Firms when fulfilling their investment expectations. His areas of specialty include services in diligence, carve-outs, buy and build strategies, M&A, turnaround, divestiture, and exit-oriented activities. Prior to joining RKON, George was a Sr. Manager of Network Operations for the State of Illinois.
Jeff Laurinaitis heads the private equity team for RKON. With years of experience working with the private equity sector, Jeff's expertise encompasses carve-outs, M&A activities, value creation, and IT turnarounds. Jeff has worked at RKON for over 11 years and has helped build the company's Services Portfolio. Prior to joining RKON, Jeff was a Business Development Manager with Arcadia Solutions and an Account Executive with Fujitsu Consulting. In addition to his work experience, Jeff holds 2 BA degrees from the University of Illinois at Champaign.
A graduate of DePaul University with a focus on International Business and Team Management, Mike is a leader on the services team. He has been with RKON for over 13 years and has more than 17 years of experience in corporate carve out and divestitures. Specializing in IT Infrastructure services, he has led several mergers, acquisitions, carve-outs, and IT turnarounds. With a full team of consultants behind him, Mike is responsible for the front end assessment, architecture, design, and overall implementation of a well-executed IT Transition plan.
Andy Erickson is currently a Managing Director of Professional Services with RKON. Andy attended Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, Illinois. During his 25 year career in IT, he has worked at several global companies, including Ace Hardware, Millward Brown, KITP and F5 Networks. Andy has experience managing teams during complex merger and acquisitions, as well as carve-outs, with a focus on common cloud-based architecture. He has also held several IT Director positions for companies during IT remediation efforts. Most recently, Andy worked with a six plant US-based food packing company carve-out from a national reseller, as well as a national bakery chain.
Jesse graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and currently has over 18 years of experience in the industry. With over 10 years at RKON, Jesse focuses on business and technology with a deep technical background in security, virtualization, data centers, and cloud services. His strong consultative background ranges in various industries, including: healthcare, manufacturing, entertainment, non-profit, and financial. Currently, Jesse works on solution design and cloud services in the Private Equity space at RKON.
David Wright is the newest addition to RKON's private equity team, bringing with him deep and proven experience consolidating technology platforms through the adoption of cloud, modern application development, and Agile. He has held senior leadership roles at Fortune 500 organizations focused on large-scale transformation, financial management, change leadership, collaboration, service delivery frameworks, process management effectiveness, and operational excellence. He has over 20 years of experience in IT infrastructure and application architecture, implementation, operations, and program management across a variety of industries, including Utilities, Service Provider, and Telecommunications. David is also a proud veteran of the British Armed Forces.
Chris Hueneke began his career in the security industry in 1995. His professional experience includes advising and implementing global IT governance, risk, compliance and security control frameworks and solutions. He has diverse IT risk and security experience protecting international organizations throughout the world for industries such as private equity, financial services, retail, manufacturing, and airlines. Chris’ extensive global leadership experience includes building IT risk and security teams from the ground up and consulting on improvements in endpoint, perimeter, datacenter, and cloud security architectures. He is a visionary leader able to communicate technology strategy, architecture, and critical risks effectively to key stakeholders, executive leadership, and boards of directors.
Prior to joining RKON, Adriana served as a product manager and provided regulatory oversight for private equity, complex hedge, common, and collective trust funds. Before NTAM, Adriana was a Vice President at Northern Trust Hedge Fund Services, where she was instrumental in developing and growing the FATCA and CRS product offerings for hedge and private equity clients. Adriana’s experience in accounting and finance also includes, but is not limited to, leading and sourcing solutions for regulatory due diligence (AML, KYC, FATCA, CRS, Dodd-Frank, RIA, etc.) efforts, supporting investment teams in various phases of deal life cycles, limited partner capital activity coordination and reporting, trading floor operations, and accounting for investments. Adriana is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Master of Accounting and Financial Management.
Director of Human Resources
Sarah earned her BA from Eastern Illinois University in 2003 and carved a career within the IT industry over the last 15 years. Sarah joined the RKON team 10 years ago and has held positions in the Sales Operations, Purchasing, Accounting, and Office Administration departments. As the Director of HR, Sarah is passionate about fostering a positive company culture and is working to build bridges with several non-profit organizations, as well as local colleges and universities.
