Jeff Mullarkey

Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer

Under Jeff’s executive leadership, RKON has grown to become one of the nation’s premier managed cloud providers. A broad range of Fortune 2000 companies turn to RKON to solve their toughest IT challenges—from hosted virtual desktops to disaster recovery to managed security and virtualization. In 2014, RKON was named to Inc. Magazine’s list of the 500 fastest growing private companies. CRN also ranks the company among the Top 500 Solution Providers in America.

Prior to forming RKON, Jeff served as MicroAge's general manager for the Chicago area, leading the growth of the company from $3 million to $25 million in a three-year period. Jeff is a graduate of Illinois State University.

Marc Malizia

Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer

Marc is responsible for the company’s overall technical vision and strategy. Since co-founding the company in 1998, he has played a key role in creating many of RKON Technologies’ products and professional service offerings, as well as building the company’s internal computing platform, which serves as the basis for our cloud and managed services portfolio.

Prior to forming RKON, Marc was director of engineering at LAN Systems, where he was also responsible for launching a professional services practice at WorkGroup Productivity. He holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science and mathematics from University of Illinois and a master’s degree in telecommunications from DePaul University.


Chris DeMichael

Director, Solutions Architecture and Chief Architect

Chris leads RKON’s team of consultants and engineers who architect, deliver and manage security, network infrastructure, and virtualization solutions for our enterprise customers. He has extensive expertise in Citrix and VMware desktop virtualization.

Prior to joining RKON, Chris was a consultant, architect and technical project manager for Insight, a global provider of IT hardware, software and service solutions. An IT thought leader, he’s spoken at many tech conferences, including Camp IT, and is an active contributor to online tech forums and blogs.


George Florea

Director, Network Operations

George has over 20 year's experience on Network Operations for start-up's, private sector, public sector and fortune 100. George has overall responsibility for developing, refining RKON's policies, standards, processes, systems, and measurements that enable the organization to achieve operational SLAs with respect to service performance, availability, security, risk, and compliance for hosted, managed and hybrid services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).

Prior to joining RKON, George was Sr. Manager of Network Operations for the State of Illinois.


Diana Hernandez

Controller & Human Resources

Diana has been with RKON since 2003. She serves as Controller and director of Administration. As the director, she manages accounting, financials, and human resources along with many other day-to-day administrative and operational functions at RKON.

Diana has been in IT for over twenty years and has vast experience leading teams across many different departments. Her experience includes management roles in purchasing, customer service, inside sales and sales support for IT services firms.


Todd Hellmer

Managing Partner

Todd Hellmer heads up the private equity team for RKON focusing on carve outs, M&A, value creation and IT turnarounds. Todd holds an MBA from the University of Chicago and an electrical engineering degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago.

His role at RKON comprises strategy and development through to execution and implementation. He has shown numerous PE firms how IT can be a key enabler in reducing risk and delivering value in a shortened deal transaction cycle while consistently delivering 10-20% below benchmark cost structures. Todd’s continued success with PE firms is through his ability to continuously provide his clients with well-executed IT transition plans that live up to investors’ expectations.
