The Lifecycle
Start or finish
anywhere.
Five phases. One accountable partner. Enter anywhere. Finish anywhere.
Most partners help you at one point in the journey. We stay through every phase, because that is what actually creates enterprise value.
Five lifecycle phases
What it means for you: You need someone who has done this specific work before to see the whole picture, name what is happening honestly, and set priorities that will move the business. What you cannot afford is another opinion, another framework, or another vendor with a starting point that begins with buying more of what they sell.
What we do: We assess your business, your technology, and your operating model. We interview leadership. We review the environment. We identify the material issues, and we separate urgent priorities from background noise. We deliver findings, prioritized recommendations, and a sequenced plan you can defend to your board and execute against on Monday.
What the outcome looks like: A defensible view of where you are, a clear plan for where you need to be, and a first step you can take with confidence in the next thirty days.
Where it usually starts: With one of our four advisory engagements: Technology Due Diligence, Cloud Confidence, Identity Foundations, or The Security Leadership Program.
What it means for you: You know what needs to change. You need someone to architect the technology, security, and operational model that gets you there. Not just an architecture diagram, but the sequence, the owners, the decisions, the investment, and the governance required to make the plan hold up under pressure.
What we do: We define the architecture, the sequence of change, the owners, the investment, the measures, and the governance required to move from where you are to where you need to be. We work in phases short enough to correct course and long enough to matter. Every design is scoped so you can defend it, fund it, and hand it to a builder without translation.
What the outcome looks like: A design you can implement, whether we do the implementation or someone else does. A budget you can defend. A sequence you can hold to.
Where it usually starts: When advisory ends. Or when a prior partner left you with a plan that no longer holds. Or when a strategic decision has been made and the operating team needs the plan to make it real.
What it means for you: You have the plan. You need practitioners who have done this specific work before to implement it, migrate the environment, and integrate the pieces without disrupting the business that is still running around the change.
What we do: We coordinate the workstreams, dependencies, and providers required to reach the target state. We deliver on time and on scope. We deliver with less disruption than a typical migration, because our practitioners have been through this specific work before and know where it usually breaks. When the build is complete, we hand off cleanly, or we transition into Manage.
What the outcome looks like: The environment we designed, standing up in production, on schedule, with the operating team ready to run it.
Where it usually starts: When design is complete. Or when a build is underway and it stalled. Or when the delivery partner your team originally chose ran out of capacity, capability, or attention.
What it means for you: It has been built. Whether we built it, your team built it, or a prior partner built it. Now it needs to run reliably, securely, and predictably, every day, without your team spending its attention there.
What we do: We operate the environment day-to-day. We stabilize essential services, reduce recurring weaknesses, coordinate providers, and reduce material business risk. We deliver managed services with the same practitioner discipline that shaped the advisory engagement, and we deliver security operations through The Security Leadership Program when the program-level answer is what you need.
What the outcome looks like: An environment that runs reliably. A team that is not on call for what should not be breaking. Clear reporting on what is working and what needs attention.
Where it usually starts: When build is complete. Or when your current managed services relationship stopped serving you. Or when you inherited an environment from an acquisition and it needs a steady hand.
What it means for you: The foundation is stable. Now you need technology to compound value: through scale, M&A, AI, cost, or valuation. What you do not need is another transformation program. You need someone who can keep sharpening the technology so the business keeps compounding.
What we do: We keep optimizing. We identify and execute the initiatives that turn technology into a business advantage: capacity for growth, integration for M&A, foundations for AI, defensible posture for diligence, cost discipline that holds. We work continuously, in scoped increments, so acceleration compounds rather than punctuating.
What the outcome looks like: A business that keeps getting better because the technology keeps getting sharper. Boards, investors, and leaders see technology showing up in the value conversation, not the cost conversation.
Where it usually starts: When Manage is stable. Or when a board or investor is asking for more than steady-state. Or when a specific initiative needs technology to move faster than it can today.

Wherever you are, we can pick up the story.
Some clients work with us across every phase, from Advise through Accelerate. Others come to us mid-build with a partner who left them hanging. Others need us to run what someone else built. All are welcome. All are on the same team.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
Do we have to engage you across the whole lifecycle?
No. Some clients work with us across every phase. Others engage us for one phase only. Either is fine.
-
Can we start with you in the middle of a project?
Yes. If you're in a position where you need a team to help course-correct a project gone wrong, we are happy to discuss your needs.
-
Is the lifecycle sequential? Do we have to go through every phase?
The lifecycle describes how technology work moves, not a mandatory sequence.
-
What happens when a phase is complete?
Every phase ends with a documented next step.
-
Who is our point of contact across phases?
A senior practitioner is your named contact throughout.
