Our lifecycle knowledgebase incorporates best practices and specialized knowledge from our lab, professional services, managed and cloud services, and strategic partnerships with vendors. Subsets of our knowledgebase include best practices, reference architectures, and all of our intellectual property. We leverage what we already have done, failures and successes, to continually create best-in-class designs and architectures for new clients. Below are the components of our lifecycle knowledgebase that enable us to continue to add value to our client relationships:
1. Lab: We pretest new technology in a multivendor production-like environment, which enables us to determine best practice configuration settings and designs, identify which technologies works well together, and to conduct POC and feasibility testing. Value to client: We uncover leading edge innovative designs with a lower risk profile and test the impact of maintenance and patching changes before going into production.
2. Professional Services: RKON provides a key infrastructure design and roadmap services to clients for security, data center consolidation, virtualization, and secondary sites. Value to client: Our adoption of leading edge technologies is instrumental in our simplifying of infrastructure and reduction of operational costs for our customers. Our designs take into account the technical and operational impact with the overarching goal of decoupling technologies so they can be modified independently reducing cause/effect analysis required during future changes or updates.
3. MSP/Cloud Services: We provide ongoing contract services to over 100 clients 24×7. In addition, we provide an on-demand virtual workload/desktop cloud environment complete with storage, security, multi-site DR read. Value to client: We consistently gather operational metrics and feedback that then goes into design and configuration services. RKON not only gathers ongoing data about the operational impact of design decisions performed by our own consultants but since many of our MSP contracts are on a customer premise, we also gather information about decisions our clients have made. We apply this data to establish the economic and operational cost model of design and configuration decisions.
4. Strategic Partnerships: We establish high-touch partnerships with vendors by earning top-level certifications for our engineers, participating in vendor beta programs and on advisory boards, and providing vendor lab time and collaboration during product announcements and version updates. Value to client: By working in conjunction with the manufacturer from their pre-sales engineering to backline support, we respond with the full support of the manufacturer backline resources, bringing a powerful front to any challenges that arise.
