We are committed to suggesting designs that take into account the operational outcome of the design, not just the technical requirements to fulfill a single design. Recommending only High-Value Technology Solutions

Many integrators (and manufacturers) make technology recommendations that do not take into account the outcome of their decisions beyond the narrow scope of the technical solution. With an established background in architecture and design, RKON adds value by considering the overall operational outcome of the design, not just the technical requirements to fulfill an individual need.

RKON believes solutions should have an operational impact analysis so that there is a “balanced” decision between the technology solution and the overall impact of implementing that new technology or change. Many integrators consider only reducing cost and miss the key component of the lifecycle cost of the technology and ongoing improvement. For us, ROI = Economic Value of Improvement – incremental cost increase to implement, support and manage improvement.

Delivering Robust, End-to-End Solutions

RKON is in a unique position as a multi-services integrator to gather operational data at each stage of the process that can then be used as a better decision-making model for our designs. We offer knowledge and best practices not only in the design and configuration but also in the patching and maintenance. We consider the following key steps before we make design recommendations:

  1. Proven Technology solutions.  Our experience enables us to know which products work with what and what problems can be solved with what solutions. We only incorporate technologies into our designs that have been tested and have a proven record of accomplishment. In addition, we take into account the ability of the customer to execute on the solution and provide ongoing maintenance of the solution.
  2. Future direction of IT environment.  We consider the maturity model of the client’s current IT operation. We want to know where our client is heading with their overall environment to ensure our solutions move our client closer to their strategic goals and continually add value to the business. 
  3. Reducing complexity.  Ideally, every decision where possible should reduce complexity. We understand that new technology must take into account legacy systems, the known issue, the unknown future, and business goals. All of our designs are evaluated with intrusiveness to the environment in mind but with an end goal of simplifying and reducing complexity.
  4. Ongoing support and management.  We offer the specific skill sets and knowledge of best practices in design, configuration, patching, and maintenance of technologies to help our clients be successful. We assist organizations in properly maintaining their technology and consistently making the key updates. We understand that if the technology is too much of a reach for the client, inevitably, systems will fall into a state of instability. We help clients in properly designing, configuring, and maintaining their systems.
